An Insurance client of Insight Global is seeking a Visual COBOL Programmer to join their Life and Annuity Distributed Applications Team. This person will primarily be responsible for enhancements, new development, and maintenance of the PolicyLink annuity administration system and Repetitive Payments System (RPS). They will spend most of their time working on new products, with many small projects, and a small amount of time on maintenance.

Experience working within the Insurance industry and using systems such as PolicyLink

Knowledge of Annuities

Accounting, valuation, and/or product development experience
Bachelors degree

4+ years of application development experience, specifically with COBOL (preferably Visual COBOL but Mainframe is OK if willing to learn/use Visual)

Advanced proficiency in programming with an emphasis on COBOL, DB2 (JSON and XML), SQL Server, and Client Server technologies

Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
