Description:

A Software Development Engineer designs, develops, tests, installs, and maintains systems, applications, networks, and/or telecom and related processes to meet the functional objectives of the business. Assesses system, application, network, and/or telecom needs, provides modeling and simulation consulting to clarify client technology functionality, and evaluates and implement new advanced technologies. Ensures adherence to established technology standards and consults with senior leadership on technology solutions. Supports existing systems and is responsible for leading technical aspects of a project. Responsible for assigning resources and delegating tasks to meet project deliverables.

Job Duties:

Provide technical support for Portico and Charlotte core platforms by delivering Roadmap development projects and/or supporting enterprise data migration and disaster recovery transformation

Work with cross-functional team to include Professional Services, Client Services, and Product Development to perform technical client readiness activities, resolve technical issues with the migration, and manage rollout activities to aggressive timelines

Assisting in project analysis and discovery, technical design documentation

Performing development programming in S,M,L team settings

Assisting in unit, integration, QA, and regression testing as needed

Tier 3 Support

Performing production defect troubleshooting and resolution

Assisting the Customer Service and Implementation teams with routine or emergency client support tasks (triage)

Participating in all-hands daily meetings as needed

Escalating production support issues appropriately

Providing updates to service tickets

Preferred Qualifications for Consideration:

Financial Industry experience (10+ years)

Excellent verbal and written communication

Experience in technologies used by product: (10+ years)

Product application and infrastructure experience (10+ years)

Working knowledge of SDLC standards and practices

Working knowledge of Agile methodologies

Participates in delivery of quality products and services

Excellent documentation skills – technical documents, code documentation, and process documentation

Working knowledge of PCI, OWASP, and other security standards

Working knowledge of standard coding practices

Working knowledge of troubleshooting and debugging methods

Data center migration experience

Disaster Recovery experience

Preferred Skills and Education:

Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience

Technical Skills: IBM zOS mainframe, TSO, ISPF, JCL, SDSF, Endevor, VSAM/IAM, DB2, CICS, ACF2, Excel, COBOL programming, CA-7, Assembler, Websphere MQ
