RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce in Tampa, Florida is looking for Senior Software Developers. Qualified candidates will be analyzing user requirements and defining functional specifications using Agile methodologies. Design, development and modification of complex systems using COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM, Easytrieve and Changeman. Executing systems integration test plans, including comparison of actual results to pre-determined results. Defining system regression test for future projects. Performing application development for multi-architecture applications including mainframe and providing support end-to-end from start to delivery. Responding to application issues, such as providing support, performing software upgrades, developing disaster recovery procedures and system audits. Creating functional technical designs. Developing code utilizing COBOL in a DB2 database environment. Collaborating with internal stakeholders on design strategies for client implementation projects. Consulting with project teams and functional units on the design of important projects or services. Development of program logic for new applications and analyzing and modifying logic in existing applications using COBOL, CICS, JAVA, DB2. Performance tuning and testing of mainframe code, troubleshooting performance problems, preparing code for deployment and finishing all necessary SDLC documentation. Coding, testing, debugging, documenting, implementing and maintaining applications. Maintaining, testing and integrating application component. Providing recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code. Analyzing complex requirements and translating business requirements into product designs. Writing functional and technical specifications and other forms of documentation. Conducting planning, analysis and forecasting activities to plan projects and tasks. Analyzing test results and recommending modifications to the applications to meet project specifications.
