The company is seeking an experienced Senior Programmer Analyst to join its Information Technology team.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting MicroFocus Cobol applications including any 3rd party integrations;
  • Requires partnering with peers, business stakeholders, software & services providers, 3rd party vendors, and colleagues from within and outside the application development team to maintain and support the applications, analyze and troubleshoot the production systems, and perform new development and enhancements, to include:
  • Collecting and analyzing business requirements, Solution, Design, Build and Implement
  • Supporting a wide range of technology projects, including configurations, software development, Installation of patches and Upgrades, etc.
  • Expertise in MicroFocus and Windows technologies (Cobol, SqlServer)
  • Partnering with other technical teams
  • Provide support for production systems
  • Mentoring and/or assisting colleagues; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent work experience;
  • 6+ years of experience in field;
  • Advanced diagnostic/troubleshooting ability;
  • Advanced MicroFocus Cobol development skills;
  • Strong knowledge & hands-on experience on mainframe or mainframe-like systems;
  • 4+ years experience in solution design;
  • Support troubleshooting through solid analytical reasoning;
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction be a self-starter with strong initiative, and ability to manage/execute workload to deliver high-quality results;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • The ability to create a positive and professional business relationship with internal and external clients;
  • Experience in development methodologies;
  • Experience working with large scale transaction systems; and
  • Must be able to relocate to Charlotte, North Carolina.
