Job Description Summary:

We are in search of a Senior Software Developer to work in our Warner Robins, GA, office, supporting the Automated Logistics Management Support System (ALMSS) which provides depot supply management for the U-2 and Distributed Common Ground Station (DCGS).  Ideal candidates will have a strong knowledge of the COBOL language, along with familiarity with HTML and JavaScript.

THE CHALLENGE

Within an agile environment, work with business analysts, stakeholders and other developers to design implement software changes to our supported systems.  Assist in the development of approved changes to the requirements.  Completes and documents coding and testing of software changes.  Supports the discrepancy report (DIREP) process, performing analysis of issues and providing resolution.  Provides estimates on requested changes to the supported systems.

WHAT SETS YOU APART

Must possess or be able to obtain secret clearance.  Must have a minimum of five years’ experience with COBOL and relational database experience, preferably with DB2.  Must have a BS degree in related field. An additional 4+ years of experience can be substituted for the degree.  Must be able to work with minimal daily direction in a fast-paced, demanding, and fluid environment. Candidate must possess strong problem solving and analytical skills.  Candidate must be highly organized with great attention to detail.  Exceptional written communication skills and interpersonal skills to frequently interact with all levels of the organization and external customers are essential.

YOU MIGHT ALSO HAVE:

Experience with HTML and JavaScript is highly preferred, and .NET experience is a plus.  Knowledge of the IBM iSeries and Strategi web server, as well as experience in an agile software development environment is helpful but not required.  Knowledge of supply chain management is a plus, specifically DoD/USAF logistics systems.
