JOB TITLE: Senior COBOL Programmer

DESCRIPTION
Our client is seeking an experienced candidate in its Information Technology department for the Senior IT Applications Engineer position. The candidate would provide support for the mainframe COBOL/DB2 applications and various OFS subsystems including Production Recording, Mechanical Test Management, Unit Scheduling, Roll Management Software and Electronic Data Interchange application files. Key functions include problem investigation, analysis, design, testing, problem solving, programming and malfunction support. They will need to get requirements, create functional & technical specifications, program, test, implement, and maintain applications. Individual needs to be proficient in listed technologies to complete the programming work quickly and cost effectively. They must adhere to client's programming and process standards.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Business and Technical Alignment:

• Understands the business, the technologies, the manufacturing process, key people and business goals.
• Aligns with the customers and establishes strong customer working relationships
• Ensures timely and effective feedback for customer issues and requests
• Follow IT Change Management process for implementation of changes in production environment Maintain necessary documentation to show compliance to the process
• Be available for after-hours work when required
• Drives innovation with the business

REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Experience Requirement:

• 7 or more years of experience in CICS, COBOL, DB2, ADABAS/Natural, JCL/JES3 INCOM & some experience with OFS at IHE
• 7 or more years of experience with custom development and SDLC processes
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Apps (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, MS Access, Visio)
• Working knowledge of RemedyForce service management software

Preferred Experience:

• 10+ years exp in OFS, DB2/CICS, COBOL, Adabas/Natural for Windows, SAS, C#/VB/.NET, MS Win Servers, SSIS/SSRS, Power BI.
• 10+ or more years of experience with custom development and SDLC processes
• 10+ years exp in Project Management; and demonstrated good leadership, communication, organizational and teamwork skills
• Manufacturing knowledge and experience with the OFS Manufacturing Systems at IH.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 Apps (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, MS Access, Visio)
• Working knowledge of RemedyForce service management software

Educational Requirement:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Information Systems or equivalent work experience.
