Insight Global is searching for a COBOL Developer to join a team supporting a large project with one of our largest customers in the healthcare insurance industry. This team supports the accounting and finance areas of the company (Ex: claims data, payroll, payment processing, refunds, checks, etc). Knowledge and familiarity with ACH Transactions, Debits and Credits, General Ledger, accounting principles, etc is a huge plus. This project will be going through the end of 2022 and could have the possibility to move to a different project within the company afterwards but is not guaranteed. Someone with significant COBOL/Mainframe development using JCL, DB2, and VSAM is required since they will need someone to hit the ground running with little training and supervision. Someone working with Command CICS is a plus and would make the learning curve smaller once onboard, but is not required. This team is collaborative and excellent communication is required.

Minimum Requirements

8+ years with the following:

-COBOL / Mainframe

-DB2

-Experience working in an IBM VSAM environment

-CICS

-JCL

-SQL

-Excellent communication needed

-Experience working on complex business applications in an enterprise level company

-Must be familiar with finance or accounting (ex: familiar with ACH transactions, Debits/Credits, General Ledger, etc)

Desired Skills

-10-20 years of experience. The more Senior the better.

-Background in banking, accounting, or other financial fields would be great // working on financial applications or in finc departments

-Command level CICS
