Apex Systems is seeking candidates for a contract-to-hire Cobol Mainframe Developer. This resource may be asked to travel to Oklahoma City as needed (client will pay for travel expenses). Application ProgrammerDeveloper (COBOL Mainframe) Experience developing and maintaining applications written using COBOL with IMS DBDC experience, and JCL for IBM mainframe operating systems. Candidates must have experience in the following tools COBOL, IMS DBDC, TSO, ISPF and MS Office. 3years minimum experience in COBOL development on the mainframe JCL development and maintenance IMS development and maintenance Understanding of full software development life cycle of design, development, integration testing and deployment Preferred Qualifications Sound knowledge of Management Information Systems including specific knowledge and best practices of analysis and design, applications development, databases, processes, procedures, report writing, and techniques. Broad range knowledge of operating systems, telecommunications and networking, client servers, security and privacy Experience with IBM IMS hierarchical and DB2 relation database a plus.
