Do you have strong JCL and COBOL skills and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment?

Experis is hiring a Consultant with experience utilizing JCL primarily for mainframe file transmissions, building files, and data mapping. A strong background in JCL and COBOL are a must, as well as a good understanding of VSAM files and DB2.

You'll need to be based within a reasonable distance from our financial service client's Omaha facility, as it is anticipated to be an onsite role after COVID.

This role will help support credit card services migrations to onboard new bank clients, convert existing client data to the company's newer data formatting, and continue to support existing processes.

The main role is to support the current processes, so this is first and foremost a Mainframe Support role. Additionally, daily routines will involve setting up and executing JCL jobs, data mapping, and COBOL code changes.

Outside of supporting daily critical processes, nearly 60% of your day will be spent utilizing JCL for testing, building, converting, encrypting, verifying and comparing files. You will perform a lot of data mapping, and ensuring the data is accurate.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong mainframe support background
• Prior experience setting up and analyzing a JCL file transmission process
• Prior conversions experience
• Mainframe and Cobol experience
• Solid data mapping skills
• Must be self-sufficient and enjoy a faster-paced environment
• Testing experience
• Attention to detail

This is a contract opportunity to approx. 12/22, with possibility for conversion to direct hire.

Must be able to work W-2 without sponsorship.
