Job Description:

Position Summary

• Accountable for building and unit testing of initiative and maintenance projects as well as application production stability.

Required Skills

• Minimum of 5-10 years of application programming experience
• Proficient in Cobol, VSAM, DB2 and JCL
• MVS/TSO/ISPF
• Knowledge of these tools or similar tools: FILE Manager, RDZ (Cobol Debugger), MS Query
• Experience with the MS Office Suite of Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Must have experience using Mainframe Development Tools and Version Control Software
• Excellent analytical, software design and documentation skills
• Enhance and support mainframe-based application heavy in DB2, flat-files, and COBOL.
• Has experience debugging applications in a production support role

Additional Skill Set:

• Ability to work on multiple deliverables simultaneously, adhere to tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
• Experience with CICS would be a plus
• Strong organization skills
• Experience with the development models and software development lifecycle (SDLC) model, Working on Agile teams and experience with Agile is required.
• Proficiency in JIRA
• Competency with VISIO and SSRS would be a plus
• Competency in JAVA would be great but not required
• Communicate effectively across varied areas including technology, business units and senior leadership
• Work on multiple projects concurrently
• Team Player
• Experience working on large scale enterprise systems
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working with virtual teams
