Title: Mainframe Systems Application Developer (Cobol, Natural/Adabas)
Location: Sacramento, CA - *This position requires the candidate to be on-site 100% the first 6 months. Possible 2 days a week remote after 6 months.
Duration: Long Term Project
Compensation: $58-65/hr W2 plus

Project Summary:
The candidate will be understanding the existing Property tax mainframe system and work on small enhancement requests from the Finance department. Candidate must be able to understand the current Mainframe old system. Will do Data Extraction, Will perfom Programming too

The skill sets for the position are below.

Design, build, test, implement, and maintain software applications using OS/VS Cobol with Report Writer, SoftwareAG Natural/ADABAS, and JCL in a zOS 1.13 Environment.
Ability to develop/maintain online and batch functions.
Knowledge in migrating the Adabas database.
Must be able to perform data extraction from the old existing MF system.
Must be able to perform programming with COBOL and Natural.
Knowledge and skills in the use of TSO, Panvalet, COMPLETE, and fileAID
Excellent analytical skills required to review existing code and provide feedback regarding current functionality.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work within a team environment.
