Responsibilities & Qualifications RESPONSIBILITIES * Participate in Scrum teams supporting the SAFe methodology * Uses and works in team environments that use agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Lean) * Use the COBOL programming language
* Software development and maintenance specific to front end user experiences * Software development of backend message processing (e.g., legacy dot delimited format, JSON) * Development and delivery of unit and automated tests * Development, maintenance, and troubleshooting of data synchronization tools * Decrease technical debt specific to end of life products and product replacement * Author developer-friendly documentation (e.g., API documentation, deployment operations) * Ensure Section 508 Compliance of customer applications
* Research and learn new programming tools and techniques * Create web layouts from static images
* Create views and templates in full-stack frameworks
* Uses and works relational and non-relational database systems
* Uses and works with scalable search technology * Handles large data sets and scales their handling and storage * Uses and works with authorized open-source solutions * Communicates technical concepts to a non-technical audience REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in an IT discipline
* 5 years plus of relevant COBOL development experience
* Experience in multiple technologies and design techniques
* Experience working across large environments with multiple operating systems / infrastructure
* Able to work in a team environment with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to interact with team members and senior managers
* Working knowledge of supporting applications Atlassian suite (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo).
* Must have experience working in an Agile development team.
* Results oriented, independently driven, self-motivated with advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities.
* Excellent organizational skills including prioritizing, scheduling, time management, and meeting deadlines.
