Central Technology Service is seeking a COBOL Programmer to join our team. We are looking for someone who has strong analytical skills, is self-motivated, and is detail oriented. As we mesh our COBOL environment with new technologies, we need someone who can be an “out of the box” thinker and develop new solutions to move the company forward. In this role, you will have the opportunity to work both in a team and an individualized setting. We will rely on you to complete projects on time, while understanding, upholding, and implementing coding standards. We will also ask you to troubleshoot issues and find innovative solutions for our customers while documenting changes.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be an effective communicator, as we will rely on you to communicate with both the business and the technical community. We are looking for candidates that have a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, and experience with COBOL programming, and programming in a mainframe environment. Knowledge of JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS Webservices and API is also desired.

Requirements
BS or BA in Computer Science or related field
Experience in COBOL programming, and programming in a mainframe environment
Knowledge of : COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS
Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with both the business community and the technical community
Strong analytical skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail
