College degree/certificate in Computer Science or Information Systems or total equivalent experience plus years of information technology programming experience, plus experience with commensurate and progressive growth experience in a Service Desk technical support environment; Service Desk or ITIL Certifications; Certified Knowledge Management
Preferred: Knowledgeable of technology service desk tools and internal processes and SOP's related to the Service Desk support model; incident management, metrics reporting, crisis management and management of root cause analysis (RCA), Impact/Awareness Notifications, Service Request tools, processes, and handling, contact and escalation tools and processes, and quality assurance programs and improvements needed.

1. Provide mainframe COBOL DB2 & JCL development and testing support for quick and accurate responses to ad hoc bulk-data/reporting requests from both internal & external customers.
2. Provide day-to-day mainframe COBOL DB2 development, maintenance & production support for EIS Core Assets statistical claims and enrollment applications.
3. Other duties as assigned

1. At least 8 years of mainframe batch COBOL/DB2 MVS applications development experience in a z/OS environment accessing DB2 databases.
   2. Demonstrated experience working with large, sequential, variable length files.
   3. Ability to quickly analyze requirements & provide accurate level of effort estimates & firmly commit to negotiated delivery dates.
   4. Strong SQL
   5. Strong testing skills
   6. Strong analytical & problem solving (JCL/SQL error handling and debugging) skills
   7. Comfortable receiving instructions from team lead developers
   8. Ability to work proactively and independently
   9. Ability to work off-hours and weekends when necessary
   10. Excellent verbal and written communications skills
   11. Demonstrated experience within the healthcare insurance industry and knowledge of claims/enrollment data is a plus.
