Our client is seeking a Cobol / Microfocus Developer / Programmer on a Mainframe System.

Location: with in Texas

Work location- this position can work remotely

We are in the process of migrating from the Mainframe onto a Micro Focus platformed system and then will be working with contracted resources to move business rules into the Microsoft Power Platform. These positions will assist in maintaining COBOL code currently on the mainframe. You will then be responsible for daily maintenance and development and reconfigurations for code that will remain in microfocus.

Possess the following skill set:

Performs highly complex (Senior-level) software development work.

Duration will be extent of CITS project that could be up to 2 to 3 years. Possibility of long term retainment if need continues.

Writing, analyzing, modify and testing Cobol programs.

Skills required:

• Cobol programming

• Micro Focus Environment knowledge

• JCL

• DB2

• CICS

Skills Preferred:

• Rexx

• Git Hub
