Your future duties and responsibilities

• Ability to provide and implement technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems

• Ability to lead discussions with all levels of the organization

• Develop standard practices, components, guidelines for use of complex technology components.

• Lead actions to determine root cause of problems and drive resolution.

• Creates business and/or technical designs for new systems, and/or modifications to existing systems.

• Understand best practices and support changes pushed from test to QA and to prod.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role

• 5+ years relevant experience in Mainframe, COBOL, (DB2 CICS, JCL, CA-7, VSAM highly desired)

• Experience in Coding, QA, Testing and ability to work in a high volume capacity

• Complete understanding and wide application of technical principles, theories and concepts in the field

• Hands on experience in DB2

• Thorough understanding of the software development lifecycle and good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Education: BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, related IT field or equivalent combination of experience and education
