Seeking a Professional Application Designer level mainframe programmer to provide support for the NJMMIS Medicaid data warehouse system.  Primary job functions include maintaining COBOL/JCL for extract jobs, in addition to supporting the UNIX processes used in the load process.  Must have the ability to function well in a team environment and/or work independently to achieve project goals. 

• 5-10 years’ experience with COBOL, JCL, IDCAMS, EZTrieve, Expeditor, SYNCSORT and Endevor
• Knowledge of ISPF for Mainframe activities
• Familiarity with relational databases, specifically DB2 and Oracle
• Experience using SQL to query databases, with at least 5 years’ experience
• UNIX scripting knowledge required, with at least 3-5 years’ experience
• Knowledge of the software development life cycle required
• Microsoft Office experience required in WORD and EXCEL
• Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills for interaction with internal and external customers 
• Strong writing and organization skills
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing initiatives
• Off hours on-call support required on rotating basis
• Medicaid knowledge preferred, but not required
• Healthcare Industry experience is a plus
